ok, so i bought my first super 8 camera- a nikon super zoom- 8 and some film and really want to do some shooting. however, i am having some problems with the light meter. i got some wein cell batteries and they seem to work fine but the switch to set the aperture from automatic to manual is stuck in automatic and will not move no matter how hard i try. the button in the middle of the switch looks slightly rusted and will not go in. now, this wasn't too much of a problem just yet since i can deal with filming in automatic for the stuff i'll be doing. however, just an hour ago the light meter stopped working completely. the battery check works and says i have a full battery, but the needle in the viewfinder gives me no reading when i depress the trigger. i'm very worried that i broke it when i was trying to move the switch, as i did put quite a lot of pressure on the button trying to get it to go in. can anybody please offer me any advice other than to get a new camera? it is much appreciated.
